OH NO! Where's JOE?

Comically, almost as if a reflection of just how wrong McCain's campaign has been, when McCain went to introduce Joe the Plumber on the campaign trail... there was no Joe. Here's how it was reported by The Associated Press:

He was referring to Mr. Obama's vote for the 2005 energy bill, but his assertion that the Illinois senator backed billions in corporate giveaways for oil companies has been called misleading by fact-checking organizations because it also included tax increases.

In Defiance, Mr. McCain had hoped to make a splash with a living commercial: his first joint campaign appearance with Samuel Wurzelbacher, a.k.a. "Joe the Plumber."

The Ohio resident, who had questioned Mr. Obama's tax plans in a face-to-face encounter with the candidate, has become the centerpiece of Mr. McCain's stump speech and the major theme of his campaign: that Mr. Obama would raise taxes on small businesses, hurting jobs and the economy.

When Mr. McCain introduced Mr. Wurzelbacher, however, there was no Joe.

"Joe, where are you? Is Joe here with us today?" Mr. McCain said. "Joe, I thought you were here today. All right, well, you're all Joe the Plumber."

McCain Robocalls Arizona

Local Phoenix News reports that John McCain's campaign will start employing robocalls in his home state of Arizona. It appears that we Arizonans have a voice beyond what John McCain assumed we had. We have the ability to think for ourselves, to not vote for someone because he's a homeboy. To make an educated decision, to cipher through the muck, mud, and waddle through the crap and reach a conclusion based on something other than - He's from our State.

Democrats are making a late play for Arizona as new polls show home-state Senator John McCain with a shrinking single-digit edge over Barack Obama.

Earlier this week, the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee paid for negative robocalls in the state, telling voters Obama’s election “invites a major international crisis he will be unprepared to handle alone.

“If Democrats win full control of government, they will want to give civil rights to terrorists and talk unconditionally to dictators and state sponsors of terror. Barack Obama and his Democratic allies lack the experience and judgment to lead America,” said the calls.

Okay, Arizona, now let's do what no one thought would happen - turn Arizona Blue on November 4th!

There's SO much to SCREAM about in the above Robocrap. It's gone from ridiculous to absurd so I'm simply going to let it be and leave this post with "You have been given a voice, use it. Go out and VOTE! November 4th.

Joe the Plumber - a Footnote in History

Are you kidding me? John McCain is schlepping "Joe the Plumber" around Ohio with him and introducing Joe whatever his last name is as "A Real American Hero"! Again, I have to ask, Are you kidding me! "A Real American Hero?" What? John McCain, regardless of if I agree with his race for the presidency or not, is a man of courage, a war hero, a man that I believe loves his country. He's also a man that has clearly lost his mind - for John McCain to call "Joe the Plumber" a "A Real American Hero" shows me just how wrong his campaign has gone.

When all is said and done, Joe the Plumber will have the memories of being a pawn during a Historic Presidential Election, he will be a footnote in the history books. An oddity of American politics.

I wonder, when Joe's grandchildren ask him about the picture on his wall of him and John McCain (you know one will be there), will he tell them that he voted for McCain?

Arizona Voter Dress Code

You know I've been going on about the Great State of Arizona and our Secretary of State, Jan Brewer, and yes, I know she's just enforcing the campaign laws (although, now seems a rather strange time to get all sphincter tight about it) when it comes to what type of clothing, badges, pins, buttons, stickers and the like would be considered "campaigning" in the polling place... And my advice was and is just don't. Your vote is too important to wear your President Obama pin's or other paraphanalia.

And just so everyone has a source to turn to.... ACLU has an excellent resource titled... "What not to wear on election day"..

Arizona Voter Identification Requirements

Normally I try to put my own opinion on the issues and topics that I discuss on SCREAMING at the TV!, not in this case - you need to vote and you need to bring the proper Voter Identification when you do.

To obtain a ballot at the polling place, the voter must announce or present in writing his or her name and address to an election official. In addition, the voter must present one form of identification that bears his or her name, address and photograph or two different forms of voter identification that bear only the voter's name and address.

* Valid Arizona driver's license
* Valid Arizona nonoperating identification license

Gay Marriage? A Look at Proposition 102

As we get closer to Election Day in Arizona I am getting inundated by the ads for Prop 102 in Arizona.

Family First has put just a ton of money in to this campaign so I feel the need to return the favor in kind. Okay, so I can't put a ton of money in to an Anti-102 campaign, but I can put a ton of time in to voicing my opinion. Ultimately, my fellow Arizonan's, isn't voicing your opinion what voting is all about?

The ads that are currently running show interviews with people on the street. These interviews talk about the simplicity of the Proposition. I agree it is wording is short and simple, wrong, but simple.

The ads ask if the interviewee understands the Proposition. One of the ads shows a woman in downtown Phoenix that was asked that question, she replied: "Yes, it's simple to understand. I'm for Marriage." Obviously it's not simple to understand.

The common thread in these ads is: "I'm for marriage, why would I want an attorney to overturn that? I think it needs to be part of our constitution."

This simply slays me.

My arguments against:

1. When dealing with law, legal terms and constitutional issues you must keep these definitions separate from religious terms and definitions. They are not the same. One is based on the rights of people of a land, town, city, county, state, or country. This definition is designed to govern the people as a whole. The other is faith based and defined in accordance with your personal faith and designed to govern a people of a similar faith/belief system.

2. Marriage is currently recognized as being between a man and a woman. If you Vote No on Prop 102 this will NOT change. The LEGAL definition may ultimately (and it should) be ammended to include same sex marriages but, again, the current law does not change. Additionally there is no way, shape or form that voting against Prop. 102 means your for Gay Marriage, not at all. A YES Vote for the Proposition would, however, provide a legal backdrop for discrimination in the state of Arizona.

3. This proposition, attempts to make a religious, faith, personal belief definition an amendment to a constitution. The Nation is based on a system of separation of Church and State, thus insuring our religious freedoms. To pass this Proposition in to law by making it a part of our constitution, would effectively remove this separation.

Ultimately I believe that it could then effectively be argured that the seperation of church (religious beliefs) and state has been breeched resulting in the amendment being overturned. Which, did nothing in the end except cost the taxpayers money.


Proposition 102 was voted down the last time it was brought forward, the people of Arizona should feel insulted that it's even on the ballot again.

Vote NO on Proposition 102 in Arizona.

Statistical Tie in Arizona Obama - McCain

Arizona Republicans have been on TV more in the past 24 - 36 hours than they have been in the past 24 - 36 months... and for all the wrong reasons if you're a McCain backer.

The Obama Campaign continues to push it's grass roots movement, out in force on the campus' the Latino communities, the phone-banks and door to door. The drive seems to be working as the evening news on NBC, CBS, ABC and yes, even the local FOX station all reporting that it is a Statistical Dead Heat between OBAMA and McCain.

The Reps, like I said are getting plenty of air time, but they are staying sound in their resolve to "stick to their plan". If only they could have convinced McCain to stick to one of his many plans - maybe they wouldn't be getting air time for all the wrong reasons in his home state.

On Republican spokeswoman - and I apologize I did not catch her name when they air the news (it was a lead in story... caught me by surprise) - stated that she believes that McCain should have visited his home state and campaigned in it at some point. She went on to say, that in her opinion, McCain's neglect of Arizona is what has lead to the current situation in Arizona.

She did stick to the campaign party line by stating that they will not change their tactics during this last week of the election season.

I'd just like to tell her "Thank You, as an Obama supporter I appreciate your inactivity and again, want to thank you for your indirect support of our efforts in Arizona to get Sen. Obama elected President."

The Arrogance of McCain's Campaign HQ in Arizona

Arrogance runs in rivers at the McCain HQ in Phoenix, Arizona. This afternoons local news interviews report that while the Obama Campaign is working harder than ever, the McCain Campaign has stated:

"Arizona. has voted for McCain for the past 26 years, why wouldn't we now?" Kurt Davis, speaking for the McCain Campaign, said McCain’s closing strategy will not change in his home state.

My fellow Arizonans - they were serious! Don't take this kindly, just because you've done it in the past doesn't mean it's the right thing to do now. Do you know how Insanity is defined?

It is: Repeating the same thing over and over while expecting a different result


We, Arizonans, have voted for McCain for 26 years, and up to the point that he sold his soul to obtain the republican parties nod as their candidate I may have considered doing so again.

McCain is taking your vote for granted. Don't you do the same.


Vote November 4th, vote for the candidate that will give this country the change of direction that it needs. Vote for "The One" on 11/4.

Wall Street Gets A Bonus

I'm going to apologize in advance for this post but there are times when the words you chose MUST reflect the emotion that you feel. I know, Mom.... swearing is the lazy man's way out of using ones intellect, so I'll use the funny little symbols instead of typing the entire word, and I will try my best to temper my approach to this cluster F*#K (oops)...bear with me though.

I am beside myself, I would say I'm at a loss for word but plenty of words come to mind. I'll just jump in on this one: The very same companies that we, the tax paying citizens, the sheep of the country, have just given $700 bn... guess what they're doing? Nope, they're not causing another financial meltdown (yet)... even better. You'll never guess what those greedy SOB's on Wall Street are up to!

They've set aside, between the three companies that NBC spoke about, in excess of $18 bn in BONUS money for their employees! You heard me - BONUS MONEY

Goldman Sachs - $6.8 bn set aside in bonus money
Morgan Stanley - $6.4 bn set aside in bonus money
Merrill Lynch - $6.7 bn set aside in bonus money

WHAT THE - !!! ARE YOU SERIOUS? I damned near chocked on my eggs this morning when I heard this, the average bonus per employee is in excess of $150,000.00.

A bonus in excess of $150,000.000 - I want MY bail out and I want it NOW. No, I'm not in a mood to wait. So Senate, Congress, Mr. Bush get your asses to work and come up with a plan to bail me out and please give me enough that I can give myself and everyone in my family a bit of a bonus for doing such a bang up job. Okay, I knew that some of the people we paid our money to were not the best investments, the Government, our 401K broker, AIG, but look I needed to keep the American Economy going so I disregarded my own regulations and paid my hard earned money anyway, now I need help. BAIL ME OUT!

I could be one of the many about to lose their house to foreclosure - BAIL ME OUT!

I could be one of the many now living on unemployment because the company I worked for was forced out of business due to economic downturns and increase costs of business - BAIL ME OUT!

I am one of the millions being asked to help some fortune 500 company because they got greedy and now I'm going to pay for it; my kids are going to pay for it; their kids are going to pay for it and these assholes are FRIGGING PARTYING in California (to the tune of nearly a half million dollars) and if that isn't bad enough, now these greedy pricks are going to get a DAMN BONUS! Are you kidding me? For what? Screwing the country the best? Mismanaging their companies? Causing a global economic meltdown?

Somebody, anybody, please, explain this to me.

One final question: ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!

I personally plan on wearing my "Vote for the BIG O" underwear - I don't think the polling place police will be checking THAT closely ;)

Obama Gains Ground in Arizona

Arizona should be a lock for Sen. McCain and up until this evenings news apparently Arizona thought so as well. McCain has been everywhere - FL, NH, OH, TN, VA... not AZ... Johnny come home... According to the local NBC affiliate Obama is cutting in to McCain's home turf. By employing a better ground plan than McCain, by paying attention to the state and it's voters, by having a more youthful, energetic, motivated campaign office in Arizona, Obama is making headway.

As of this date McCain has gone from a "sure thing" rating to a "leaning towards" the margin is currently 6.6 in favor of McCain. It's not a lot Arizona - let's show the world that we are as much in favor of getting America back on the right track as the rest of the country is - go out and vote OBAMA.

Remember, Jan Brewer, Sec. of State, doesn't want you wearing your buttons, pins, t-shirts or stickers to the polling places so leave it all at home - as much BS as it is your vote is worth more now than that T-shirt will ever be!

Obama Assassination Plot

I know this is true, it is through words and ideas that the impossible becomes possible, it is also the way that hate is spread, fostered and executed.

Sadly each positive has to have a negative - it is the way of the world.

Reporting from Washington -- Federal authorities in Tennessee announced today that they have arrested two alleged white supremacists in an alleged plot to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama by driving their vehicle at top speed and firing high-powered rifles at him from their car windows

The report went on to say:

Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tenn., and Paul Schlesselman, 18, of West Helena, Ark., were charged in U.S. District Court in Nashville with illegal possession of a sawed-off shotgun, conspiracy to rob a gun store and making threats against a major presidential candidate.

This sickens me to beyond words. I am not a naive man, I know that this hatred exists in the world. It obvious from all of the crap we've heard along the campaign trail this election season.

Everything from "he's an Arab" and it's counter... "no, he's a good man". To people screaming "Kill him".

Enough people, what the hell is wrong with you? You don't have the brainpower that God gave a flippin' gnat - running around spouting off like that is just stupid. And these two yahoo's, it just goes to show how impressionable youth are - these are kids - yes they are of majority age, but they are still kids. The brain is not developed to it's full capacity until your mid-twenties; and that's if you don't screw it up with drugs or alcohol.

So what I want to know is who is the dumb F*!K that's filling these kids with this hatred and why? What has gone so terribly bad in their lives that they have to hate like that?

I try to understand, really I do - but ultimately there are just some things that shouldn't be understood. I would vote for eradication but that would make me just as vile as they are, therefore I'm voting for castration. Allow them to live, just not breed - they can practice all they want they just can not under any circumstances reproduce - I know that's not very christian but then again Catholics don't have the purist of pasts. I'll go to confession, I swear I will.

Forgive me father for I have sinned. It has been a couple of hours since my last confession. Father, I have lusted for the castration of people filled with hate, hate so venomous that it threatens their soul and the soul of those they come in contact with and hold any influence over. It is not with hatred in my heart that I have lusted, but it is with the desire for a higher level of intelligence and a more compassionate human nature that I have used mankind as my mistress.... I might have to work on that one a bit.

Just one man's efforts to clean up the shallow end of the gene pool... Amen.

Palin Goes Rogue

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN that they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin "going rogue."

McCain sources say Palin has gone off-message several times, and they privately wonder whether the incidents were deliberate. A second McCain source says she appears to be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

"She is a Diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said this McCain adviser. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else.

"Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Diva trust only unto themselves, as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom."

The Republicans have all the fun! First they get an unknown moose hunter from Alaska, then they teach her a lipstick and pig joke, hockey, some foreign policy, a few catch words and phrases... and now, they want to call her a DIVA.... and sounds like they want to boot her from the party... Gosh, it's all just rosy on the campaign trail now "don't cha' know"!

McCain said there were times he has broken with the Bush administration, but added:

"So do we share a common philosophy of the Republican Party? Of course."
